AshMan
For some reason, one of my computers cannot access the internet. None of the settings have changed and all the other computers on the network can access the internet. The computer in question cannot even access the router via the router?s web interface. What?s going on? Is there something missing during the computers boot up sequence? Something like winsock or something? And how can I repair it? Using the System Restore does not seem to work and I know the network card is not damaged. When I try to repair the connection, I get the following error message:
AshMan
And here are the other settings. Note, they have not changed. Also setting it up to get the DNS and IP automatically does not seem to work.
UnaBonger
You sure you have the right subnet mask? Event logs say anything? when in doubt try uninstalling the NIC from windows, reboot and let it re-install it...

UnaBonger
Sure, Right-Click My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Right-Click the NIC thats giving you a hard time and "Uninstall" > Reboot & let Windows re-install. You might want to keep your driver handy in case windows asks for it. Also check for driver updates from the manufacturers website.

AshMan
Is is possible that my LSP (Layered Service Provider) is damaged?
UnaBonger
Oh, you never mentioned that it could see the other machines... Thats a whole different thing... Make sure you have the correct DNS settings. Also, which router are you using? One that has built in DHCP functionality? Try using that instead of manuallly assigning IP's, You'll find that's much easier to work with and troubleshoot networking problems.
AshMan
Thanks for your help guys. I discovered that it was a problem with the LSP. I used the information on this site to fix the problem: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
