Timan Veteran Posted October 14, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 14, 2003 Src @ http://www.maxconsole.com/?mode=comments&newsid=1036 from http://www.emulation64.com/Emu64 exclusive: Dolphin Zelda movie! Martin - Mon 13 Oct 2003, 1:23 AM Make sure you're sitting down and are comfortable, preferably with a cup of coffee or tea or some other drink you enjoy. This is a moment you will remember forever, I promise. This is as big as when you first saw UltraHLE running Super Mario 64, and heard Mario shout Itsa me, Maaario!. Hold your breath and download this amazing video of the GameCube emulator Dolphin running the intro of Zelda. Please note that the author has increased the FPS for viewing pleasure reasons, the actual speed is much slower. I would like to ask webmasters of other sites to upload this file to your own webserver, else the bandwith bill will kill me. Thanks a TON to the anonymous author of Dolphin for giving us at Emulation64 this exclusive. Also, thanks to Nezzar, vampireuk and 2fast4u for providing mirrors. +Warwagon MVC Posted October 14, 2003 MVC Share Posted October 14, 2003 you don't understand the point of emulation. it's not about ripping off companies and playing their games for free Your right that is not the point from the start.... but if they get it working good enough that is what will happen :)

fishie
ps2 isnt emulated, where have you been. its being emulated more closely to the real thing then the cube at the moment. the cube one runs one game at what .05 fps. the ps2 one loads like 2 games. and yea go buy a cube if you want to play it. and now you can play backups...weee! psychoge3k
Emulation is about playing legitimately owned games in a new way, usually with higher video resolutions anf better graphics... Not about ripping off the games producers or console makers. I own a GameCube AND the zelda game, and am still holding my breath for the day I can play it on my PC ;)
Laughing-Man
Plus if you are at college, like myself, it is easier for someone to take your console then your PC. Plus if you can backup your games on your HD, then that means no more scratched cds from careless roommates who throw them around.
Boffa Jones Veteran Posted October 14, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 14, 2003 NO matteer what you do it for it is still illegal. even if you dont play games one it. Modding your xbox is illigal. I dont really acre but you cant really get aroudn anything by sayign you are 'backing up' games cuz the mod itself is wrong.
neodescis
Modding a console is NOT illegal! You buy the hardware, it's yours to with as you please. It will of course void the warranty... but that's another issue. It is illegal to pirate games and play them on your modded system, but that too is another issue. Modding hardware is perfectly fine. No, modding the current consoles is circumventing copy protection. And that does qualify as illegal under the DMCA. You can own a gun but aren't allowed to convert it into an automatic. You can't make changes to your car that make it dangerous on the street. There are plenty of instances where you aren't allowed to do whatever you want. Doesn't mean I wouldn't mod an Xbox if I ever got one, I would, but I'll never fool myself into thinking it's not illegal.
