Swing Kids! What has my friend done?!?!?

Recommended Posts

He lost my favorite cd! It was called "swing kids". It has some of the best music on that cd! He won't pay for it and I'm quite angrey with him. Does anyone have this cd? Would it be legal if some one ripped it and encoded it to a mp3 file? If it is leagel, and someone has it, could they help a fellow swing lover out? If it is illeagel, then don't send it for obvious reasons.

Any way, do you guys like swing music? My favorite is Sing,Sing,Sing (The chips ahoy song). If you want to sample a little swing I suggest you go to This sire and you can stream some samples to your computer

That sucks...I think Swing Kids is OOP?

Meaning that it is Out-Of-Print. There was a period in which I was a swing fan.

Jump, Jive and Wail from Brian Seltzer Orchestra was pretty cool...:)

You may be able to find it used someplace (or Ebay has some very reasonable auctions running on it, with "Buy It Now" under $12).

Appears to still be available at major retailers (like Amazon), too.

Regardless of legality of ripping, if you really like it, you should have the original recordings in non-compressed form.

If there's nothing "complex" about your friend losing it, they should replace it or reimburse you for finding a replacement, even if it's a token $10-15.

Personally, I learned over the years not to loan CDs unless someone was really responsible. At the least, I got a lot back pretty harshly scratched up, and haven't loaned since, except under unusual circumstances.
