Howto: Copy a music cd to my hard-drive

Recommended Posts

just use friggin Windows Media Player 9 and turn off "protection".

And next time, GOOGLE IT.

I remember when I first wanted to rip cd's - I didnt actually know what to google for. The terminology that I know now, as to what I knew then is massive. If someone is doing it for the first time, and havent heard of 'ripping' or 'backing up' then the best thing to do is ask !

Also good to see that I dont have to use musicmatch anymore - I wasnt aware of any other decent programs, thanks for the links !

:) :shifty:

Well there you go. I sit corrected.

EDIT: Your avatar and sig still crack me up, Man-Britney.

Dude - you're just going to call me that now if we ever bump into each other on a thread, but its OK, I can dig it ;)

Back on topic, good look with the ripping, http://www.musicmatch.com is always a last alternative, and does its job pretty well.

Sorry, hope that doesn't bother you, it's just the funniest thing I've seen today -- that, and you made Man-Britney your avatar!! AWESOME!

WMP9 doesn't offer custom naming schemes.

e.g. 01 - Track Name.mp3
