Very new to the Xbox scene so would love to hear some opinions on what XBox controllers are recommended. System came with the S Controller. Briandl79
Pretty much everyone uses the S Controller so unless you are looking for a wireless controller just get another S Controller.

BroChaos Veteran Posted October 15, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 15, 2003 madcatz are ok. 3rd parties are definitely lower quality, but you can get features that ms doesn't make, ie wireless or programmable buttons. i prefer the fullsize, but that's becuase i got used to it when it first came out, and i have bigger hands. right now i have 3 controller s and 1 fullsize madcatz. Plarkster
I bought a 2nd controller a few weeks ago. I dont usually buy 3rd party stuff, but the Microsoft controllers are ?25 so I decided to get the Logic3 version as it was ?10 cheaper, and I'll be using my MS one anyway. It's modelled on the controller S and it's actually pretty good. The main difference is that the ABXY buttons feel a little higher, but it's no big deal. Also, I've only had my Xbox for a couple of months and the X button on my MS controller is already sticking! I havent spilt anything on it or anything. I've opened it up and put it back together and it was ok again for a while... but now it's sticking again! Anyone know how I can fix this properly? I've also been wondering what the Logitech wireless controllers are like - does anyone have one?
BroChaos Veteran Posted October 15, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 15, 2003 i have the wireless version that's for the pc. it's pretty similar. the only thing i don't like about it, is that the analog sticks are a lot looser...don't know if it's that way on the xbox version. TheDreamX
The best controller for Xbox is the original, official Microsoft controller, hands down. The Controller S is gay, why did they ever bring the Japanese size here?? I would have said the Logitech wireless controller, but no wireless controllers support memory packs/headset on the controller themselves, so they are pretty useless to me because I play kind of far away and online a lot. o_87
Personally, I like the original controller, as it is what I have always used. My friend who bought an Xbox after me, prefers the new controller S, he says it is a lot better.
Icarus ^i^
I'm still using the original controller and I like the feel of it. At the same time, I like the controller for gamecube, so I guess I could get used to smaller size, like controller S.
aitf311
the one that fits your hand best...i like the original big one
cocklea
i owned the Logitech wireless pad for my xbox. It is the best! Definitely better than S. Kinda pricy (bought it for USD55 after convert) but it is worth it. Imagine, playing Xbox while u lay inside u comfy blanket, on the bed.

skooter_15
The original controller is the best  Its big curves are great to hold onto unlike the controller s where it feels like my fingers are on top of each other
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted October 16, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 16, 2003 The s controller is the best IMO :) although....the black+white+start and back button are annoying to reach when your playing me thinks....
