For me it throws off the flow of the thread. I purposely hide sigs because the also throw off the flow of reading a thread quickly. I will move it up my priority list of things to look at. I think it should go back also, though I wouldn't miss it if it just went away entirely. I've never liked the whole Facebook "Like button" fad.
