-=SD=-
Damn that is fast... If only they could offer those speeds, I am still hoping for fiber to hit big so that I can get that speed some in cali have at 10Mbps down and up.

fjv
i dont think they are using a typical home computer for these kind of tests i dont think ANY type of harddrive has the ability to store even 1GB in one second... that must be some ram array of some type that later trasfers the info slowly to the HD fjv
jackwanders
http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/10/1...reut/index.htmlCheck this out!! 1.1 Terabytes in 7 seconds WOW :D The article clearly states that the speeds at which they transmitted were equivalent to sending a DVD in 7 seconds....so you're claim of 1.1 Terabytes in 7 seconds is waaay off. 1.1 Terabytes is probably equivalent to around 230 DVDs or so, at around 4.7GB per DVD. So you may want to edit your original post there. It's more like "1.1 Terabytes in 27 minutes" I love when the poster misquotes the article and everyone else buys it because they're too lazy to read the article themselves. :D
Steven
http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/10/1...reut/index.htmlCheck this out!! 1.1 Terabytes in 7 seconds WOW :D the feat, doubling the previous top speed, was achieved in a nearly 30-minute transmission over 7,000 kms of network between Geneva and a partner body in California 7 Seconds what are you toking?
