Was anyone else as disappointed as I was?

I appologize if this is in the wrong sections or this has been talked about a million times already, but was anyone else as dissapointed as I was with the Matrix Reloaded?

I've waited the longest time for this movie, I missed it in the theatres, and then finally, it comes out on DVD and I decide to rent it last night...

What a waste of time.

I could tell from the start that it was going to be a horrible movie, they try and pack to much action and special effects too soon. Along with the fact that a lot of the movie didn't look like a movie, but some failed project sitcom from the sci fi channel.

The Special effects were nice, but there was just WAY too much.

I also hated how characters where in it and wasn't introduced, ie, the twins, that creepy guy with the knife that cut his hand and seemed to be trying to kill neo.

Mix that with very little plot and FAR too much action and you have the dissapointment of the Matrix Reloaded.

...A Movie that ends with "To Be Continued" ...what in the f00k.

This movie would have been way better if they'd thought more on the plot and added that "Make you think" factor that the original matrix had, instead, they wanted to make a ton of money off of little teenage boys with lots of pointless special effects and fight scense.

I can't say I'm looking forward to Revolutions, though I'll probably watch it any way, just to make some sense of some stuff that was in Reloaded.

Sorry for the Rant, I was just a bit peeved and dissapointed.

I think all things will be answered with revolutuions. too many people tried to compare reloaded with the first, you can't. second reloaded and reveloutions should have been released at the same time, but warner bros wanted to be greedy with getting dvd sales. if they would have been released together alot of questions will be answered.

I loved reloaded just as much as the first one. can't wait to see the revolutions.

I'm hoping everything will be answered in Revolutions.

I compare the two movies, because the first one, it had a good plot, and everything seemed somewhat realistic I guess you could say. This is why I liked the first movie. The Second movie however, seems to be some sort of super hero/action BS that came from a comic book/Sci Fi Channel. There wasn't enough in it to make you sit down and think, there was just lots of senseless action. If I wanted senseless action, I'd just rent a Bruce Lee Movie, but in all respect, Any Bruce Lee movie wasn't as corny as Reloaded.

I have to agree with you here... instead of capitalising on the thing which made the original film great (even thought the philosophical arguments were somewhat old and dusty, they were presented quite well), they decided to just make far too many damn wire-fighting scenes and "cool" gun-toting action. I'm still quite interested to see what the final chapter will bring to the table, though: will it be an interesting thread to the plot, or will it be more of the same "action, action, kung fu is cool"?

Reloaded was an amazing film, and i dont think warner bros is being greedy by releasing revolutions and reloaded separately, maybe its because the films are so long that you would be sat in the cinema for like 5hours? same goes for LOTR

I agree, wasn't impressesd....... but i think its not because of movie but how i have too many damn unanswered questions........ so yes i agree, the revolutions should had been released at same time, that would have helped. I hate too be continued movies........... but action was descent, but i must mention, i thought badboys II highway scene was WAY BETTER

The Matrix was a master piece, it was a movie with a deep story, philosophy and many layers of thought provoking questions, it was, with a lack of a better description, perfection.

Often when you try to do a sequel to a master piece, especially with a large budget you can get carried away with special effects and such and forget what made the original a master piece, this is what has happened with the matrix franchise, sadly.

I wouldn't say it was a masterpeice, but it did have a deep story, philosophy and many layers of thought provoking questions, though I don't think it was any where near perfection.

I do agree that they got WAY carried away with the special effects and they did indeed forgot what made the original so great.

I'm just hoping that I won't be as let down with Revolutions, but seeing as the way things are going, I believe I will be.

As far as action and story, it was ok. What irked me to no end was how bad the special effects were. Mainly the long ass fight scene with teh Smiths. I wondeered if Neo could have looked any more fake during some of those clips. I cannot imagine how that passed the editing room as acceptable. It seemed like they just tried to do way too much effects wise and surpassed their own abilities.

I loved Matrix Reloaded just as much as I loved Matrix. Why?

Let me tell you why not.

I know there are some people who believe that the Wachowski brothers made up the sequels AFTER The Matrix. This has never been the case.

To me the Wachowski brothers just made the rabbit hole go further than what everyone expected in The Matrix.

They did not screw you like Lucas with the "Midochrodians" crap that was heard in Episode 1 but not in Episode 2, 4, 5 or 6.

However, as there is 2 sequels to The Matrix. Just like The Two Towers was a middle movie. Reloaded was a middle movie. I expect Revolutions to fill any plot hole matters that Enter The Matrix couldn't fill.

My brother hated the movie and told me there was to much psycho babble...I told him that I bet if you check The Matrix, I bet there is about the same amount of psycho babble....

i really liked it. i thought it was a great movie, still not as great as the first matrix, but it seems to be that way with most sequels. personally i am really looking forward to revolutions. :)

Reloaded has a much more advanced and in depth plot then the first. So much to the point that most people got lost in the story and were overwhelmed by the action. And no, the sequels were not written after the original. The whole series was written at the same time. The movie did take on a different directing style then the first though.

Yeah. If you took notice, you would have seen that he was taken over by Smith while in the Matrix, came out still with Smith still in him. He cuts his hand to see whether he is really human or not, then goes over to kill Neo, but backs away at the last second when Neo faces him.

It is not a sequal, the Wachowski brothers originally planned it to be a trilogy.

if reloaded isn't a sequel to "The Matrix", what is it? :p, it maybe part of a trilogy but it is still a sequel to "The Matrix.

i feel things would have been different if they had made all three movies back to back in the beginnig.
