Gamecube mods

Recommended Posts

I have a GCN and I want to mod it. I know this is going to be difficult because there isn't hardly any mods for the GCN, but if anyone has modded a GCN or has any inspiring ideas for GCN owners please post away.

how is the panasonic q a mod. is a full console in its self. eh whatever. as for mods you can paint it, add a region switch and change the LED. thats all ive really seen so far. all i did to mine is change the LED to a blue one. it looks nice on my black cube :) :goes and plays mario kart 64 on gamecube:

The mod on that Q is it allows you to play games and DVDs from any region, the stock Q won't do that ;)

This is NOT, I repeast NOT a warez related question. So mods, please don't ban me or anything!

If I were to have theoretically seen some GameCube roms online, what is the point?

From what I have read, the GC still hasn't really been "cracked". Essentially there's no way to play these copies, and there is no working emulator. So whats the point?

I wanted one of the Panasonic ones but it is way too much for me! I am happy with my Silver GC

Is the best console IMO. I sold my PS2 for an XBOX and then sold XBOX for GC

However I would like a modded XBOX  mate has one and it is so cool :woot:

How did you change your LED on your Gamecube. I have a black GCN too! Do you have a step by step process written up, that would be good.

um not really that hard i followed the dr eggman tutorial but i cant really find the link any more. here is a link to a good tutorial. http://homepage.usask.ca/~ctm754/projects/...emod/index.html the hardest part really is getting the cube open, you either need the 5$ tool or just melt the end of a bic pen then press it into the cube holes on the bottom. this worked for 2 of the screws and i went through about 10 pens before i broke down and bought the tool. dont get it from a video game site they charge like 15$ there is a tool shop forget the link that i got it from for like 3$ it hooks onto a hex driver. the bit is called a gamebit.

to reply to wolvereen. you can play them PSO+BBA+cross over cable + PC + nic card. you stream them over the bba adapter. many run with sound problems and whatnot. but a few run perfectly like animal crossing, viewtiful joe, etc. some kid jacked my n64 from me when at school so i enjoy playing old 64 games on it. you know how zelda bonus disc thing was played on cube? the big n has a emulator built into zelda oot for gcn and with extraction someone has managed to inject any old n64 game made by the big N to play on cube. mario kart 64 on gamecube owns! :goes and plays:
