Are you talking about the GitS tv series ?

If you are then i must admit it is a really nice series. Expecially if your into the whole martix shindig bandwagon going around. (i know gits is pre-matrix anyways)

Its really nice and really well done. A nice deviation from the movie also. Ive only causght the first 2 eps. And since i have dial up Im going to have to ask a freind to d/l more for me.

Over all I say its pretty darn nice. ^-^

did that have some aphex twin music in it?

or am i mistaken?

The music in the 'Standalone Complex' series is produced by the wonderful Yoko Kanno. Its one of the best anime series ever imho.

Theres a track floating around the net by 'Aphex Twin' called 'Ghost in the Shell'.

It samples speech from the English version of the film, but apparently it's by, well, read for yourself:

It doesn't sound particularly like Aphex Twin to me either.

Yeah, anything Ghost in the Shell is worth a purchase/download/listen/etc.

I recently jumped in the anime genre and that was the first movie I bought. Excellent film. It did have alot of Matrix-feel to it, but because GitS came out in 1995, it should be stated that Matrix has the GitS-feel to it. I've only seen a few Stand Alone Complex episodes, but the character creation, diversity, and background is amazing. Makes me wonder why American movie directors, writers, and producers can't constantly produce the quality movies like alot of anime has.

By the way, I have never had more intrigue in any character from anything I've ever seen, until I watched Trigun and became hooked on Vash. I now find myself ordering the complete box sets, his figurines, and even wall scrolls. I never thought I'd be 23 years old and loving animation characters hahaha.

Surprisingly, Best Buy here has a great selection of anime. There's also a few local spots in the Bay Area I go to and a I have a good friend in Hawaii who gets me some things I can't find here.

Try checking out your local spots, Best Buy, or some other video stores. I've even got some off Amazon.com and eBay.com.
