LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17 ?  Actress Pamela Anderson joined an animal rights campaign against fast-food chain KFC Thursday, urging a consumer boycott of the franchise until it ensures better treatment of its chickens.

?What KFC does to 750 million chickens each year is not civilized or acceptable,? she wrote. ?I am calling for a boycott of all KFC restaurants until my friends at PETA tell me that you have agreed to be kinder in your practices.?

i read in a popsci article that the kfc chickens were born without feathers in a closed environment some of which werent aware of themself being alive and could be thought of as "growing food"

I was watching discovery and seen about this stupid myth about kfc's chickens being raised with no feathers in a cage so they can't move. It is untrue and it's funny to me people believe that crap. They said they buy their chickens from farmers like everyone else. Anyways, I'm sure as hell not going to stop going to KFC if I ever have the money.

Really want to know the truth about how those 750 Million chickens we eat are raised?

I live in Tennessee Chickens around here are bred for 2 purposes, Show and Food. The show chickens basically do have presidential suites. They are fed top notch food, often costing twice as much in a month than what it would take to feed your self.

The food chickens are raised in a long cage, which is divided into sections. First you have the incubator, where the eggs are placed for hatching. This is a fairly good size cage, well it's not a cage really, cause the truth is, there is no light allowed into the chicken coops.

As teh chickens get bigger and bigger, they are stuffed into larger pins. Yea literally stuffed. a 5ftx5ftx5ft will probably be stuffed with about 40 - 60 chickens. They are fed the equivelent of baby food for an adult 30 years old, who is really not wanting to eat it, but to survive you must eat it.

You guys act like its not really a big deal, were just going to eat them right? Put yourself in their position, what if we was a race of animals bred for the sole purpose of food. You guys really dont think about that much do you?

Sure Pamela Anderson has given more handjobs than any other girl we'll ever meet, and her p*ss probably looks like a bag pipe sagging all over the place. But atleast she is getting her head in the right place this time, instead of in a guy's lap.

Maybe those of you laughing about it and criticizing someone pushing for a more humane way of treating the things we consume should get your faces out of some guy's lap.

Just think, the more confined a chicken is, the more it spreads disease. Did you know salmonela didn't start to become a big issue till they started confined breeding. Also, did you know the White to Brown Meat ration has decreased since confinement, you find yourself eating brown meat more than white, also this drives the cost of white meat up, which means you are probably paying 5 bucks a lbs for white meat.

Think before you start saying crap like "roflmao:)" and "lmao lmao "

cause its really not funny.

Great post draugluin. I agree with you completely.

If you guys had any idea of the conditions these animals are forced to endure then perhaps you would not make the kinds of ignorant comments that you have.

Wow guys... u would think that the avarage geek has some brain....

since draugluin pretty much said all , I'll add that I'm also worried about what they give chickens to eat

its a known fact that farmers are adding chicken remains to chicken food thats mean Canibalism

same in cows lead to mad cow disease

How do you suppose we treat 750 million chickens, who's sole purpose is to die and be eaten.

I'm all for animal right, but at some point you have to draw a line and realize the humen race does need to survive.

If you eat chicken, then dont post here saying its wrong to mass bread them. Because you are contributing to their death.

ya its sad chickens are treated like that, but what are you suposed to do with that many chickens and a very very low end species, AND i dont even eat chicken i havnt since i was 5 because i cant eat it , it tastes bad and makes me throw up... also i like your post drauglin but it makes me angry when people compare humans to other animals "imagine urself like that" uhh how about ya i would fight until i died. i dont see any chickens fighting....why? besides that i agree with you

This is gonna **** of alot of people but to me they're nothing more than animals, they're bread for being food, nothing more nothing less.

Put yourself in their position, what if we was a race of animals bred for the sole purpose of food. You guys really dont think about that much do you?

We're not, it's that simple.

I guess Im kind of torn on this issue. While I feel very bad for the chickens, and obviously it is horrible how they treat them, I have to also agree with Sub and noir. How should we treat something that we are killing soon? I dunno, I guess it doesnt bother me that much, but its obviously wrong how they treat them.

You're nothing more than an animal either, a dumb one at that.

but then again, you don't have the mental capacity to think about others before yourself, probably why you are on the internet, cause no one likes you :)
