sys32
Okay, I just saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I really need to know if the footage shown at the end of the movie was real or not. Supposedly it is, but that was disturbing as hell.

Bizkit
It was really good. I liked it, but my girlfriend hated it. She didn't like the scaryness of it.
clonk
It is inspired by a true story. The writer of the original Texas Chainsaw was motivated to write the story by some of the actions of Ed Gein, a now famous serial killer. Ed never wielded a chainsaw or wore skin, but he did collect the body parts of humans, though he claimed never to have eaten them - he "Just liked to look at them." Alot of the kitchen imagery in the movie is directly based off of Ed's kitchen to the best of my understandings. So basically what you saw never really happened, the end footage is fake. It is a pseudodocumentary.
ANova
It was based off of Ed Gein, and yes, he did were skin. He did alot of nasty stuff. But he never waved around a chainsaw.
