The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Recommended Posts

Okay, I just saw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and I really need to know if the footage shown at the end of the movie was real or not. Supposedly it is, but that was disturbing as hell.

the new movie is scary as hell! they did a great job of almost making u feel like you were there. i still have the chills and its been more then a day since i've seen it. i'd also like to know if the ending footage was real. i would definatly recommend it, but not if you don't have a strong stomach. some of the scenes i'll never be able to forget

this movie is awesome! i never get scared in movies and i jumped like 4 times, and my heart was beating fast for a lot of the movie.. i love how they made it seem so real.. and if you didnt know any better you would think the police footage was real.. what a great ending too... i see just about every horror movie that comes out.. and this one is way up the list. 3? out of 4 stars.

It is inspired by a true story.

The writer of the original Texas Chainsaw was motivated to write the story by some of the actions of Ed Gein, a now famous serial killer. Ed never wielded a chainsaw or wore skin, but he did collect the body parts of humans, though he claimed never to have eaten them - he "Just liked to look at them." Alot of the kitchen imagery in the movie is directly based off of Ed's kitchen to the best of my understandings.

So basically what you saw never really happened, the end footage is fake. It is a pseudodocumentary.

stop talking good about it, im po'ed...went to see it last nite and my friend bretts mom bought us tickets, and started to leave...we enter, ticket person tears our tickets, walk up to theatre 10, "lemme see your ticket stubs and IDs".... so brett runs out, catches his mom, she buys a ticket walks us in and leaves shortly...she goes to customer service, gets her ticket refunded and is outta the picture, then were sitting in the theatre all fine, the trailers start to go, the manager spots us hes like "whered your mom go?" were like "shes in the bathroom" hes like "ok", then after like 5 minutes and she isnt back he comes up and is like "we dont think that was really yuor mother, your gunna have to wait outside until she comes back"...

so i didnt get to see it last nite and im po'ed, this whole age limit thing blows
