TEX4S
What OS ? I think I know in XP - but - not sure what you're needing. I know exactly how you feel. - You've seen it before, but cant remember how you got there before, and now that you need it - you're pretty sure you know how but ..... If I remember correctly, you create a device in Device Manager, then in the settings you can give it an IP address .... I think.
+BudMan MVC Posted July 12, 2012 MVC Share Posted July 12, 2012 There is no way to do what without 3rd party. Use to do this for like gps data via a serial port, etc.. But this is free and does what you ask I think http://www.hw-group.com/products/hw_vsp/index_en.html

+John Teacake MVC Posted July 12, 2012 MVC Share Posted July 12, 2012 isnt that just a bit like ssh or telnet for devices like switches, routers and the like
trek
isnt that just a bit like ssh or telnet for devices like switches, routers and the like you won't get SSH or telnet if you can't connect in and do the initial setup to config the ipstack ;) THis is like a dialup modem connected to the AUX port where a person would phone in to connect to the router/switch console.
