Erikas
I would think with a bit of searching (Google/Bing, etc.) you would be able to find a lot
pack34
I'd always suggest jumping on something like SquareSpace. It costs money but it takes a lot of stuff off your plate so you don't have to manage it all. Instead of building everything up from scratch you just have to brand one of their templates. Then you can add content through a nice simple GUI instead of having to dive into the code all the time. It allows you to focus on what's important, generating content for the site. +BudMan MVC Posted July 13, 2012 MVC Share Posted July 13, 2012 Changing your MX record does not have to have anything to do with the host of the db and website, etc. The MX record is changed on your DNS - you don't have to host dns at the same place you host the site. If the host your using does not allow you to edit dns, then just host the dns somewhere else and pointed to your free host for whatever you have hosted there. Godaddy has the ability to host dns as part of your registration fee. There are also many other places to host dns for FREE or very cheap. zoneedit use to be free for 5 zones, then they changed it to 2 - now I believe it cost 1 credit per zone. You can get like 36 pack of credits for $30 bucks so like $10 a year to host your dns. Or completely free there is http://www.cloudns.net/ plus many others - google to find. And again many registrars provide this feature for free, I know godaddy and namecheap do for sure. +virtorio and primexx 2 Share

3dtraceroute
Hello, I need hosting (free, or if not cheap) WITH NO ADS that provides MYSQL db (1 db), PHP and the ability to change MX records so i can still get my mail. I actually bought one domain from go daddy, but hosted somewhere else free, now i cant receive email @mydomain.com, support told me i need to change MX records. Any idea? Thanks in advance. Ok, so you buy the domain. You change the DNS NAME SERVERS at GODADDY to point to your new hosting provider. You set up email at the new hosting provider. You go BACK to GODADDY and change your DNS MX records to point to your new hosting provider. If you do not know how to do the above, you contact the new hosting provider first and ask them what your mx records need to be. Next, you contact GODADDY and you have them make the changes for you, or have them walk you through it. Once this is done, you have to wait 24 - 48 hours for the changes to 'propagate' across the internet name servers (name server = dns server). You can monitor the status by using unlocktheinbox.com 's MX records tool. Go to the following link, type in your domain name, and when you see the mx records changed to what your new hosting provider said they should be, you can start testing sending of mail. If it fails, start from the beginning. http://www.unlocktheinbox.com/dnslookup/mx/ Good luck.
