Five mil for 44 days work + losing 4 stone and toning up a bit? FFS - sounds like a smart move for me.

pringlex
to show the world he's capable of doing something 99% of people in the world couldn't do. Could you be any more ignorant? One idiot decides to starve himself and we all watch, one billion have no choice and we ignore them.
Axel
Hey give the guy a break... I mean granted he's weird, but I think he REALLY did do this for himself (he obviously saw some kinda hidden meaning in it, even if we didn't). I'm just curious to know whether he has done any long term damage to himself.

Yeah totally agree there. My personal view, he is a showman, he doe's these wacky endurance stunts to test his own body limits, it a personal thing to see the limitations of his body and mind. I really unsure why he did not take in a Gameboy Advanced and load of batteries though ! Kind Regards
morganpugh84
I think it is funny how much controversy he causes. I also think it is funny how the people who think he is an idiot get more involved more than someone who just thinks he is cool! He is an ENTERTAINER. He isn't the next jesus (well i dont believe in a first jesus but thats a whole other thread :p ). He is just a man who does strange things and people talk about them. He makes up some bull**** after like the stuff he was chatting about when he came out about learning more in the 44 days in the box than years out of the box, etc. but at the end of the day he is just there to make people talk. I hardly ever watched it to be honest. I think I put it on 2 times during the whole 44 days. However people at work who think he is an idiot, etc. watched it daily!! Also they were always talking about "what an idiot" he is and how there is no point in him doing his "stupid" stunts, etc. They are getting more envolved than me and I am a fan!! Anyone else feel the same? Also to the person asking "why didnt he lose more weight" I say is 4 stone in 44 days not enough? That is 1 stone every 10 days which is a HELL of a lot of weight to lose! You do understand how much 4 stone is and how short a period of time 44 days is yes? Try losing 4 stone yourself. I bet you cant do it in 44 days!! Nova_rock
just watching him leave his box after being in it with only water (no food) for 44 days. FACTS: 1 he?s a magician 2 a human can survive for up to 8-12 weeks in total starvation 3 for air and removal of waste there had to be an entrance and exit in his box 4 from pictures he showed NO indication of advanced malnourishment, muscle loss or liver/kidney effect associated with prolonged starvation derived conclusions: A. it is possible B. it is likely that he used a training technique or had some nutrients while in box (water?) C. does anyone care?
+E.Worm Jimmy Subscriber¹ Posted October 21, 2003 Subscriber¹ Share Posted October 21, 2003 i know for a fact human body is capable of sustaining without food for LONG TIME. 44 days sounds about right. HOWEVER - those people are meditating and physically slowing down all the processes in their body. (again it is possible) this obviously requires a LOT of training and not everyone can do it. i never watched his show so i have no idea how he done it... but reallistically he should have been only half conscious most of the time... guess he is the first one attemping to do so without some sort of hybernation. so if its true - KUDOS to that guy - he really has control of his mind and body
