autodefe
That is true. But once I let it die, someone will come along and make another childish comment about me or what I'm saying *cough* and at that point I feel it necessary to defend myself. Just watch. McKrout
Opio, i say you have your ideas and opnions and everyone else has their own, if you dont like the idea of XP users taking advantage of the engine that is built in to make it look like OSX, then you really shouldnt read the thread, let them complain about you all they want, some will, some wont, but if you dont read the posts, then you wont know and then you wont be wasting your time tryin to think os snappy comebacks and everyone else wont have to do the same and we can get some thing productive done. how does that sound? autodefe
Toy Soldier, I like what you have to say. I totally agree. I was simply making a suggestion in the first place but then it turned into an argument. I enjoy a good argument so I carried on. At least my comebacks were "snappy" and not lame. McKrout
Now if the other parties involved with this matter agree, i would like to call the argument a draw and declare a cease-fire (so to speak) and for the people who not feel that this should end, at least move it to another thread, yeah, its amusing to read, but i would like to read about the topic, not which is better, windows or osx. thanx. T0Y S0LDIER PS: Neyo, in some of your screen shots i cant tell if im looking at a mac or pc, keep up the good work

Maybe we will meat in the mac treads, when i get my supercomputer? :) Ooh... About 4 hrs now! LOL but i do love it! ... iTunes is blasting tunes @ me... whilst i work my ass off, on good Ol' Win XP! I'd prefer 2 use the iBook ... but until i upgrade.. 64Mb Sux... Not only that... but TextEdit is all i have... until i can get V.x ...So i guess, using Office Xp, makes most Sense!!! as for your comments... u're free to an opinion dude... Personally... i am becoming bitten, more and more bitten by the Bug that is apple...! although i still Don't hate XP, or previous Windows Releases...! i just feel that... People Choose what they like... and they use it! ... personally i can see some aspects of OS X that appear far more User Friendly, than on Windows... And yet... Most people would claim windows 2 be more user Friendly... but hey... Personal opinions are GREAT! ... as for talking Mac... i dunno about u, dude, but i am COMPLETE NewB 2 all this... but i show a willingness, 2 learn... and so i am playing with the nice iBook... and learning all the time! ... maybe Join in, on the Macosx.Com Forum ? i am a member there... and post Frequently, on the General Discussion Forum... The Guys there are pretty cool... and now accept me as a Windows User... although now i am mac too! They have been answering all my Stupid Newbie Q's! its Good! ;) holla Back! Y/C
Well, congrats to your new iBook NeYo... I don't know man when I first entered the neowin forum some months ago, I was seriously against buying anything else but only PC related stuff. Well, these threads are starting to change my mind again and again, so... ...we should buy that damn mac. Apple will notice an increase in its sales because of these threads, I'm sure of that! :D So, I'm, also going to buy another gadget for my collection but I didn't know which of the two would be more useful... The Lamp or a laptop??? Well, I guess an iBook is the perfect sollution, isn't it ;)?
Steve
LOL! ... Yes Dude... i think, esp if u have a Desktop PC already! Battery life is pretty nice, 5 hrs on mine! ...And u can fit up2 640Mb Ram inside! i will be VERY happy, when i get more Memory... but, as i sed... i am a Mac Newbie... so i can cope.. (gives me more 2 look 4ward too!!!) I guess, Before i came to this Forum, i too was like you.. "Mac Sux" LOL ... without having any knowledge, of Mac, @ all... However, since the upgrade from OS 9 ... i think Apple can look 2 sell more, Macs... as OS X is Real NICE!!! But, 4 u dude.. if u're a computer kinda guy... then it makes sense... 2 go against the grain.. try, and learn something new... expand the horizons... and who knows... we might both Ditch M$ soon?! LOL ! holla! NeYo
Cuzzo
Cool, ill see you there to then :) Nice to see someone who agrees with me,i am right as you, cause now you have tried it to :) Some people trash the PC for wrong reasons(some MAC people) because they get the facts wrong. Its almost never the hardware in a PC that causes the big problems, its the OS,softwares made for that OS.The PC is as good as anything out there.Put Linux,BeOs,Qnx in it and it will be fine. :) Ok,NeYo! put up some nice pictures, dude :)
Y/C
Well, I'll also do the research when I finish with my damn examinations, I have found Mac stores around my place and I seriously try to figure out the thing that is most important to me. The communication between a Mac and a PC... Will there be problems? When I have to use Photoshop or Flash will I found any problems while passing some files from Mac to PC or vice versa? Well, I'm mostly a "multimedia" guy, and also my new "job" has to do with this, big time, so for some years now I can be considered as a computer guy too :). Do your research and I'll do mine also... Thanks NeYo, have a good night :).
Steve
LOL! I'd love 2... BUT... i am working on an assignment, @ the mo... and so, my iBook Is left Orphaned ... with No Connections to either a LAN, or the internet! However.. if i can finish this, i aim 2 do both!! and then... i will post Pics of a NON modified OS X Desktop! lol! ... maybe i'll make it look like XP! LMAO! Check Out this Post... it's kinda my Newbie Post, on the site! ;) NeYo http://www.press3.com/forums/showthread.ph...&threadid=12215 Here's a Quote... i asked about LAN... --> XP :) Networking to NT: You can access your PC from the Mac by connecting an ethernet cable between the two (normal or crossover, shouldn't matter as macs can switch automatically!) then set up file sharing on the PC. Lets say your PC is called "mypc" in the workgroup "workgroup" under network control panel. Then, you pick the drive or folder/s you want to share and assign each a "share name" under the sharing tab. Eg: You decide just to share your "Stuff" folder as "PCSTUFF". Then, on your mac, go to Go -> Connect to Server and enter: smb://workgroup;mypc/PCSTUFF (yes thats a semicolon) And your PC shared folder will mount as a drive on the desktop. As for more advanced networking, OS X features an FTP and HTTP server as well as every Unix server and firewall you could want. Just ask the guys for help.
