outlook 2010 disaster

Question

I have 2 gmail accounts on my outlook, recently it started driving me crazy regarding IMAP server timeout. I did my research and it's a common problem, remedied by disabling schedule checking. However, I still get the same error and lost push notifications. Also, I noticed that each account's pst file is 1.5gb, does that matter?

Any advice guys?

Outlook puts a limit @ 2GB for each account (regardless of how many email accounts are associated with it)

The size doesnt have any bearing on your connection problems. I would look @ the authentication & security settings.

Also, I believe Google has multiple IMAP servers

Just to be safe, send me your T420 and I will personally make sure everything is correct.....trust me ;) (my T400 is lookin a little dated)

Just an fyi Outlook 2007 and 2010 has a default limit of 20GB if you have 1.5GB you are well within your limit. Also Outlook 2010 has a max limit size of 50GB, this requires a registry edit to increase the size limitation. These limits are per PST file, not per account. There is no limit, other than the max limit the file can be, per email account that is saving to that pst. I have had users have 20GB pst files from 1 mail account.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982577.

The default .pst file size limit in Outlook 2007 and in Outlook 2003 is 20 GB. If you are using a computer that has Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2003 installed, and you want to access a Unicode .pst file that was created in Outlook 2010, you may have to reduce the size of the .pst file if the file size is at or near 20 GB. If the file size is greater than 20 GB, you will be unable to open the Outlook 2010 .pst file.
Note The Outlook 2010 file size limit of 50 GB can be increased or decreased by making changes to the Windows registry. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
