Dreamweaver CS6 - big resource consumption?

Question

Hy.

Sincer upgrading to CS6 suite I've experienced a big resource consumption for Dreamweaver which seems pretty wierd if I compare it to Photoshop or even Illustrator. Which could be the cause or this is the normal state for it?

Thanks

CS6 and CS5 both are heavy programs. You have to consider what is actually going on in your screen. You are not just looking at a website wysiwyg. You are also looking at a webbrowser. So right there, you are using the resources of two seperate programs.

I know but cs5 as far as I remember was light.

It's ok for my needs but cpu seems to stay permanently over 40% which it's odd.

Why do you care? Infact you should be happy that it is actually using the CPU rather than microsteps of the CPU. You put in a CPU and you want to keep it's use low? Same goes for RAM. These are made to be used, not sit idle.

but there's such a difference between DW and Photoshop (>).. which is well known for cpu hungry?

I care cause working in Dw take time and cpu on this hot weather should stay during my programming session as most as possible under 10% of use. Over 30/40% my cooler is simply taking the silence and other benefits ;)
