LaunchBar Commander(free) : A saviour for some people on Windows 8?

Question

I recently came across a neat little (free) program called LaunchBar Commander. It's Free and gives you a crap ton of customizations for a menu bar (that you can hide) on the top of your screen. One of which is a drop down list of all of your programs. The registration is free, although you do have to create an account on his forum for a key, and do that every 6 months ... twice. Then after 1 year the key is good forever, I don't care, because it's a great program and is free.

I created a little video demonstrating the program. During the video when I went to test out the power options menu I added, that didn't go so well. But everything else works great. Maybe you'll like it, maybe you won't, just take a look!.

This looks like a pretty cool program, man. I'm going to give it a try, as I am one of the majority that absolutely hates the Windows 8 Start menu. Thanks for pointing it out!

That video made me want to kill someone; it's so very dull and his monotone voice just made me exit it after 1:48 as I couldn't take it any more...

Personally I prefer Object Dock, looks nice and sits at the top of the screen out the way.

I've been using this since the Vista days so i had no icons on my desktop, however i find it even more useful on Windows 8:

I thought you did a good job describing the possibilities with this program and I watched it right to the end, and I usually don't even bother with 95% of the flash video's in the forum so IMO good job, thanks

I've found 7Stacks permits a neat "All Programs" nested menu direct from the Taskbar. You need to supply it the "Start Menu" path, which can be found from the 'location' of any install desktop-app's shortcut.

Of course you can do the same with regular Taskbar Toolbars, but 7Stack permits a normal-sized icon as a target and an icon to access the folder via File Explorer.
