RaisinCain
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a browser out there that is fast, doesn't use hardly any resources, has tabbed browsing, pop-up blocker & is stable. Thanks!

NEOWIN SEARCH!another one that is just as good is GOOGLE   very helpful. anyways i was thinking opera, its fast, tabbed, but i'm running it right now and its taking up 14mb of system resources. so i guess its out of the question. :(
Schmoove
It isn't getting any better then Mozilla Firebird or Opera. I can't think of anything lighter to use. Either one is fine, both are nice browsers and come on how much is 12 to 14mb really. Practicly nothing. People are too obsessed with the use of resources lately. bonobozoot
firebird, opera, kmeleon,MyIE2. search on google for their homepages. :woot: my 100th post!! and god knows how many more to beat the most posted member.

Get over it. yep .. and if everyone keeps asking the same questions that have been asked 100000000000 times before ... then the site will become redundant and no one will come here because it is the same sh** rehashed over and over and over and over .... very helpful. Hey, learing to search for the answers that are already there is being helpful!

Ryne
I would use Opera or IE. Mozilla/Firebird use too many resources on my PC, but if that isn't an issue on your PC (most likely not), the by all means use it. Its the best out there. Before you yell that resources mean nothing, my PC isn't the greatest. It isn't getting any better then Mozilla Firebird or Opera. bonobozoot
i have a 650MHz laptop and opera is the only thing with kmeleon and IE, which runs smoothly. firebird takes a long time to start but once on, it gets rolling and is fast. :-)

Fotix
On a low end computer, I would use MyIE2 or some other IE frontend like Avant. This is coming from a Gecko user since before the 1.0 days. :)

Frankly I wouldn't run WinXP Pro on a machine like that. I think Windows 98/ME or maybe Windows 2000 would be a lot better.... I'd go for 98/ME. Then just stick with IE, since it already uses your resources, even if you don't use it, because of it practically being embedded in the OS (ever wondered why IE starts up that fast... well this is why, parts of it are already running in the background). wiles
I just switched to firebird and I must say it is very nice. It is fast and pretty small. Only thing that ticks me sometimes is that i need to get all the plug-ins.

Coolme
Got firebird, avant browser & myie2. They all use about the same amount on my system (about 12MB). Any other ideas? Try this. Open two of the same webpages on avant, myie2 and firbird. (using tabbed broswing) and see which one uses the least memory.

If I wanted a dumbass response, I would've asked for it. Why the hell should I sift through hundreds of posts just to find some info? I know how to use Google & the Neowin searches. What I wanted was to know if anyone knew of any other browsers that were out there that used a minimal amount of system resources (I already use MyIE2, Avant Browser, IE 6 SP1, Opera & Firebird).
