~WinGz~
Short story on how I got this stupid malware. My sister thought it was real antivirus when i was at work. So far I can't get rid of this thing. So far everything I have thrown at it has been denied on removing this crap. Does anyone know of how to actually get rid of this besides throwing my laptop out of the window. Security Shield 2012. ( I'd rather drink bleach then see this stupid thing again) So far Ive tried Malware Bytes, Chamelon mode, Hijack this, spyware tool from microsoft even tried old fashioned harddrive wipe. This thing has survived everything I've thrown at it. Any idea what I should do apart from nuking it from orbit?
+Warwagon MVC Posted August 11, 2012 MVC Share Posted August 11, 2012 One thing you should do is scan the machine from outside of windows using something like the Kaspersky rescue Disc 10 http://support.kaspe.../?qid=208282173 I would run ccleaner to remove any infected temporary internet files and temp files. I would then do follow up scans after the rescue disc scan with Malwarebytes, tdsskiller and hitman pro You will also want to flush system restore (turn it off and back on agaim.) You also want to run patchmypc on that machine to make sure all of your 3rd party applications including, Java (remove if you don't need it), flash and adobe reader are up to date. http://www.patchmypc.net
nabz0r Veteran Posted August 11, 2012 Veteran Share Posted August 11, 2012 In most cases Malwarebytes in Safe Mode helps. Have you tried it? You can always try to take the HDD out and scan, have you done that?

Rigby
As mentioned above you should start your computer in Safe Mode before running your malware removal program.
