Office 15's Computer Icon

Recommended Posts

Sweet! Planning on doing more Office 15 icons?

I made a quick vector to see if it looks right. Is the monitor supposed to be curved or square?

Yeah, I'm currently working on the folder icons now.

I'll guess I'll make it square since it's supposed to be metro modern.

If you post more Office icons I'll try to redo them.

Btw, what's the best way to save it as a .ico? I never did this before.

Or you can use the free IcoFx also. It does great at saving PNGs to ICOs

@icon sushi can also create .ico files for you. Bonus points for it being small, portable and free.

I can't see where this is free. The only thing it says on the website is that it can be used up to 15 times for free then it's 49 bucks afterwards.

Ah crud you're right. Actually the older version of the program is still freeware. Version 1.6 I believe.

I just finished the icon and I keep having this one problem:

That one part looks a bit messed up when viewing desktop icons on medium. Other then that it's fine.

Make sure you have a 48 px icon included....

The required sizes for windows icons are as follows: 16px, 32px, 48px, 64px, 128px, 256px

Also maybe you can use some details so they look better at the desktop?

What did you do to the icon? Added a bezel? Or am I missing something?
