84Mark
Hi. I have set up an FTP Server using IIS but I don't know how to set up Port Forwarding on my ADSL Router so I can access it from the outside world. Does anyone know what I have to setup in the Virtual Server options? Thanks. - Mark
shermang
If there's no preset in your router setup for FTP hosting just open port 80 for tcp connections in/out

84Mark
Yeah I have a Web Config page which I can access using the IP address 10.0.0.2. In there there is a Menu Option called "Virtual Server" where I can setup things like this <ie Remote Desktop>. My ADSL Router is: http://www.dabs.com/uk/productView.htm?qui...17P7&familyid=
Damien_Old
normal ftp uses port 20 & 21 for communications. passive ftp uses hte higher ones. most dsl routers have preset options for ftp in them though...
