Panacik
Thanks for getting back to me Ash. Does anyone else that is coming to the meet up have concerns about where to stay? If you do then please let me know as i have no where to stay, and it might be an idea for everyone on the meet to stay in the same B&B etc.

Borbus
I would like to go to london for the gathering. I probably will but i thought it would be like a midday sort of time, that way I can spend the day there and go home for night. Maybe it owuld even be better to wait until summer next year because the days will be longer. I dont see any way I could get somewhere in london for the evning and get home the same day so that means a b&b or something which i dont really want. Anyway I hope I will be able to make it whenever everyone decides to hold it.
rezza Veteran Posted November 3, 2003 Veteran Share Posted November 3, 2003 If ya don't want to stay in a BnB or something, we could just stay out all night partying hard :D (ps i'm now almost a definite for being there)
Vasquez
Hi all, not new to NeoWin but pretty new to the NeoWin forums (aren't these just the friendliest web forums you've ever been on?)... The London meet sounds like a good idea, so put me down as a possible if you like, it would be great to meet some fellow NeoWinian's (is that the correct terminology) :)

rezza Veteran Posted November 3, 2003 Veteran Share Posted November 3, 2003 What time are we going to be meeting, and what type of activity would everyone like to do? I'd suggest something everyone can take part in during the afternoon, then maybe a few drinks for some of us in the evening? The "few drinks" bit will be easy... I'm sure lots of people know some nice bars we could go to, and its not something we have to decide on now. But the main afternoon activity (activities?) is what we have to come up with... So what are our options? Cinema? Bowling? London eye? Other tourist attractions? Something to do with gaming? Trawl some PC component shops and pester the guys behind the counter? Ask PC world staff complicated technical questions and watch them squirm because they don't know the answer? Ideas, people, we need ideas!
Vasquez
So what are our options?Ask PC world staff complicated technical questions and watch them squirm because they don't know the answer? ROFL...that's a good one, I stopped using PC World years ago for that very reason, but you've given me an even better one to go back now :) I will have a think and see what I can come up with for the afternoon (probably best to stay away from the cinema, bit anti-social for a meet) but... anyone for some Chinese at Wong Kei's in the evening :) Come on people, idea's idea's idea's... FaRSightxc2
Hows about a big slap-up all-you-can-eat buffet? Maybe a chinese one? Then on to a pub or something? I, to be honest (if I go), don't want to be c0cking about with computer stuff all day. I am just not that way inclined, lol.
