Outlook Profile

How do i copy a outlook profile from one PC to another PC?..Can i just copy the PST file or are they more files involved? We have an exchange server for everything Outlook related, the only thing that does not get automatically copied over is additional mailboxes the users has. Is there a way to copy them over?

profile migration....

windows easy transfer if transfering to a windows 7 pc. it comes with windows 7, run it and it will make a installer for win xp or vista. really makes user migration very easy.

anothre profile migration utility is made by forensit called transwiz, it is what I used to use to transfer profiles from 2000/xp to xp. It worked quite well, but windows easy transfer is better and puts things from xp in the proper place in win7 (transwiz doesn't quite do that yet).

Copy %appdata%\Local\Microsoft\Outlook from the old PC to the new PC.

Export HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles on the old PC and import it on the new PC.

I'd copy the .PST myself it'll be far quicker and easier, as all you'll need to do is put the .PST on the local machine etc.

Remember .PST's shouldnt be used in a network environment as this isn't what they were intended for, but it'll still work just put huge strains on your network.

Remember if you have a .PST which is 300MB for example, if you open an email the whole 300MB PST is scanned, using more bandwidth etc, sorry I went on.

Copy the PST.. :)

This was the question:

"How do i copy a outlook profile from one PC to another PC?.., the only thing that does not get automatically copied over is additional mailboxes the users has. Is there a way to copy them over?"

the pst doesn't contain all of the information needed. it is a db, it has no settings in it.
