cut
i have a device that has no web browser but to connect to the internet on this network, you first have to open a browser and click a button on the page that appears to have internet access... is there a way to jump/skip this? +BudMan MVC Posted August 30, 2012 MVC Share Posted August 30, 2012 Do you manage the network? If so then sure you can setup ip:mac of devices that can get access without using the captive portal page. If you do not control the network, ask the person that does. If not it would kind of defeat the whole reason for the captive portal if you could just bypass it ;)

+BudMan MVC Posted August 30, 2012 MVC Share Posted August 30, 2012 this bypass has to be setup in the captive portal configuration - so if you control the network/captive portal then yes you can setup devices that can get access without using it. This can be done with other methods than just mac - would depend on what captive portal your using? examples
