I would prefer the former as I don't want to have to be messing about with batteries but are they as good? Here's what I was looking at. It says BAR but also does PSI which is what I'll be using. Gone Posted September 1, 2012 Share Posted September 1, 2012 I think analogue tire gauges are better, I have a $5US that works great, really as long as you are within +-1PSI you should be fine. Race teams use analog dial pressure guages due to consistency and their durability as well as their accuracy over the digital models. I use a analog for my sons race car which is accurate to .01 and is very consistent. Btw the pencil gauges are accurate to .5 lbs. not bad for around a dollar. And they don't need batteries.
