From what I see, as do many others, there isn't really a whole lot special about it. It's been hyped by Microsoft but it seems that it offers little new. I don't personally know much about it, but I gather it's all hype, making people not using .NET look outdated. Using .NET isn't actually any better, just hype aimed at clueless managers.
