Laughing-Man
I don't know, it is sort of stupid to download the demo because probably the game is going to cut off in the middle of it. I am going to wait until it hits the shelves, which is going to be soon.
~Bull}{Dog~
both of those sites are pretty much legit and I've never heard of not being able to post a demo, its not leaked or warez so go for it.. its also on File Planet if you dont mind the initial wait.. Elliot B.
If the resolution was bumped too high, most PCs would die. Even the PlayStation 2 can run it at higher resolutions at 60 FPS lol

They are making a game for g*d sake. They should take some time to edit the d*mn thing.
Laughing-Man
I don't think you guys have every played a Silent Hill game in your lives. This is exactly what it is like in Silent Hill 1 & 2 for the playstation systems. I have Silent Hill 2 for the PC also and it is not much different. I do not think you guys know what you are talking about.

Even the PlayStation 2 can run it at higher resolutions at 60 FPS lol um....the ps2 has like 8 megs of texture memory, so I don't think it will run this game well at all at high rez..now 640x480, I can believe that. Also the pc version lets you increase the texture rez to 2048..just try to run that on a ps2. good grief, the same arguments get presented to you over and over about how you cannot compare pc and console and still the information hits a brick wall. when I see consoles running all their games a 1600x1200 with 4xantialiasing and 8x anistropic filtering, only then will be able to make solid comparisons. and about the controls, can't you just use a gamepad? I don't have the demo yet.

To get equal quality at the same framerate, you'd need one HELL of a PC! nope..if you lower the rez to 640x480, turn off antialiasing and aniso, lower the texture quality to bottom, then about any pc will be able to play it and it will look identical to what a ps2 will display, and it will run a lot faster. maybe it doesn't matter since tv blurrs the overall image so much.. also, poor pc performance is the fault of programmers 99% of the time that poorly port a game to pc..it happens ALL of the time. If you buy pc-only games you will notice that they run like silk at really high rez and the texture quality is muuch higher. you just can't compare at all.. Just remember, consoles are made for games, they run games best yeah, well it's totally ok you like consoles a lot..I almost bought a gamecube myself, but image quality on a pc and console are nowhere near eachother. Last time I was at bestbuy, I was looking at buying a console and noticed all the jaggies, noticed how blurred the textures were, and just said naah. I'm kinda finicky about image quality, and I notice that most of the console games I wanted are also out on pc, and I like using the keyboard for control..I guess I'm a geek that way. to each his own, and happy gaming. Not all games are best played on consoles when compared to PC and visa versa. I have Silent Hill 3 for PS2 and now this demo for PC and I don't see much of a difference. In fact the character models on my PC are more detailed then the PS2 version. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this game, your computer must be holding you back then. In fact, my PC is very good. The only 'bottleneck' is my graphics card (which is still decent). The PC version of Silent Hill 3 visually looks like it's running at 512x384 at default, it's so pixelated.
Neo003
I have no bottleneck at all the game is running fine no slow down no nothing it was at 2xantialiasing and 8x anistropic filtering, the only thing is control it's made for gamepad   . The game is for PC not consoles people who have PC will prefer keyboard and mouse not a f**cking gamepad, I have xbox for that.
