a virus with apparent symptoms that appear seconds after infection wouldn't be that hard to contain

Yes, but once the infected jumps at you and starts munching at you, it would be very hard to contain.

You're kidding right?

If it was a MiG 29 it'd have twin fins and, well, be a completely different shape :)

It was a Hawker/BAe Hunter strike fighter.

It was hard to tell from the film weather it was a normal version, or the fully combat-able trainer (which has a more bulbous cockpit canopy and side-by-side seating).

These were used by the UK, but sold to a good number of countries, such as India and Switzerland (who I believe used them upto as late as 1990).

There are a number of examples still flying in the UK and the US.

Here is a (privately owned I think) Swiss example flying at a UK airshow:

The actual jet was british which took off from blackpool (if anyone actually bothered to watch the dvd properly he says in the extras)... and it cost ****loads in fuel.

where the jet was from in the story I aint too sure.

2 streets were blocked in the film the rest was computer done after 2 give the impression of an empty place.

ppl do watch the extras when buying dvd's dont they??

The alternate ending is ****.. and is only shown in storyboard.. not actually shot

gah if you guys read what Spectrolite posted:

-  The language spoken by the jet pilots in the end is Finnish.

-  The last words said in the film (by the aircraft pilot) are spoken in Finnish. He says, "Would you send a helicopter."

So the plane probably was from Finland.

This raises interesting questions... Why would a Finnish aircraft patrol over Britain? Why not Dutch, French or Norwegian? Considering the fact that the pilot spoke Finnish, he probably talked to Finns...

then you in turn raise the question of why not a fin?

Maybe they were looking for survivors? just a shot in the dark

Well, let me rephrase: If the continental Europe survived better than UK, wouldn't there be Norwegian, French or Dutch aircraft checking the status of the British Islands? Why would the Finns use their few jet fighters so far from Finland (maybe somebody who knows more about jet fighters could tell if they even have required range without refueling)? On the other hand, if the continent had situation as bad as UK, wouldn't the Finnish Air Force still search survivors little closer to home?

lol the director of this film should be happy man, nice low budget flick and has left people with so many questions at the end, even got some people doing some investigation work by the looks of it, you know youve made an alright flick when that happens
