rageagainstmachine
Hi, just randomly checking my online bacnking, and i noticed i have been charged for an app that i defo did not buy, bot bought an app for months, GOOGLE *MEDIOCRE , GOOGLE.COM/CH GB - 0.83 Ye, its only 83p, but how the hell could this happen, and can anyone advise the correct google channel that i would use to complain?? Thanks in advance
nekkidtruth
There isn't anyone in your household that could/would purchase an app? It's pretty rare to be randomly charged for something you didn't do. And by you, I mean you yourself, spouse, children, family members, close friends etc. You're most likely going to have to fight through your bank. Google is nearly impossible to deal with (If you can even find a way to get to a human being) and they will just refer you to some policy that really won't help you in any way. HawkMan
the name mediocre doesnt' have to any any connection to te actual app, but the company used for billing.

What business is that of yours? problem solved, was my ex on her own phone, i must have let her use my details to buy an app before, and its saved it when she bought a new one! Glad you got it figured out. I just suggested checking with anyone that might have access as I'm sure you wouldn't want to be embarrassed when dealing with the bank or Google. ShMaunder
... Most things are so cheap and easy to get legitimately that its more hassle to get any other way. I can only guess you're not old enough for a credit/debit card and therefore you result to other methods. Also, have you ever considered that what you're downloading has nasty code in it. Ya when I jail broke my iPad I was going to download a copy of angry birds off the internet. Then I saw it was only 99 Cents and I felt bad and bought it. KSib
Are you 5? It's none of your business and who cares? I care. That's silly to be that old and not have a line of credit. Lol you both got so defensive. "It's none of your business" but I'm going to post about a related problem on a public forum haha. You kids have fun. Nashy
I used to do the wrong thing on Android, but just realised one day how hopelessly stingy it is not to pay $1 - $5 for something that gives me enjoyment. Don't like the demo? Don't buy it. Make a mistake? Refund it. I care. That's silly to be that old and not have a line of credit. Lol you both got so defensive. "It's none of your business" but I'm going to post about a related problem on a public forum haha. You kids have fun. I don't have credit cards. I got burned by them before, so I decided to never have one. It's easy to get into a "I'll pay it back later" attitude.
techbeck
Had an issue where my Bank called me. There was a $1 charge on my account from Google. I hadnt bought anything for a while and if I do, I do not normally use that card to order. Basically ended up getting my $1 back and a new credit card with a new number. Or anyone's life for that matter. Who are you to decide who should/shouldn't have a credit card and or what age it's acceptable to have one? Worry about your own credit cards. Credit is not a necessity. People can and do go through life just fine without ever having to throw themselves into debt. TCA 1 Share

cooky560 Veteran Posted September 16, 2012 Veteran Share Posted September 16, 2012 I don't personally understand why there is a need for a credit card at all. If you are needing to borrow to buy something, you can't afford it (houses excluded) TCA 1 Share
HawkMan
All your debit cards, at least in scandinavia(europe i believe) are visa cards here. As for hy having them, because I don't use cash anymore, and to buy "anything" online. Also while I don't really buy stuff I don't need on credit or loan anymore, your agument is kinda ignorant. Way about cars? What about car service ? I need a working car to getto work. Other services. Heat pump to heat my house that utltimately saves me money. In the past I have used credit/loans to buy unnecessary products like home theater and computer. Yes it was more expensive, but I don't really regret it. The computer I pretty much needed anyway.
