Windows 2000 SP2 or Windows XP

Recommended Posts

i got windows 2000 and i created 4 boot disks cuz it's not self boot. When i restart my computer with the first boot disk in it goes into setup and then comes up with an error saying "txtsetup.sif" missing or corrupted, but when i check the diesk it was there and i created new ones on new floppies and it still says that. Can someone help me or is there another boot prgram that will do what the windows 2000 boot disks do??

Please help me, i don't like Windows ME and don't wanna use it...!

Thankxx

Freexa:

anybody know if you can import the windows xp picture viewer into 2k or a program that does the same thing?

Why bother? that thing is a worthless piece of junk. Ever tried ACDSee? it's the program that Microsoft tried to copy and make lamer-friendly but failed miserably at doing so. not only is it FAST and supports just about every format under the sun, but you can configure it to show your images in a plain window, which is really great. you use your mousewheel or the pgup/dn buttons to scroll through images in a folder.

I loved 2K but i'll never go back for the reason that XP got all or most of the features i've wanted in an OS. Most of it just built in too!!

hehe, ok kool, i installed windows 2000 and it works kool. The only thing wrong is when i start my computer with my DSL on, it's takes it a long while to load. At one time i saw a forum abou this DSL loading thing in Windows xp and the solution was to set the adapter to optain ip address matually (ie to put the ip in manually) can someone please tell me what it is!?

You're absolutely right. Of course, that doesn't change the fact that they're still idiots for using Windows ME.

Put in the cd and make sure that the cd drive is the first boot device, then it will be that same as floppys but will use the cd.
