Nazmus Shakib Khandaker
What does GS:mac mean? I see it everywhere in comments; can't find it on bing. Thanks for your help.

Xilo
It's just Glassed Silver trying to be a unique snowflake and inform us with every post which OS he is commenting under. Just do the right thing and ignore his posts. I know I did. a1ien and javagreen 2 Share

Raa
It means Glassed Silver has manually signed his post from the computer/OS he is using at the time and it's incredibly annoying. CronicHazel
It's not annoying, but it does feel like an incredible amount of work for your average forum posting. XD Raa and TCA 2 Share
Raa
Then it should say GS:osx He sometimes signs as GS:Win. I've edited my post for better clarification. :) You're easily annoyed Depends on the time of day. Boo Berry
I personally find it interesting to know what OS/platform a person's using to post if they use multiple OSes/platforms.
remixedcat
It indicates what device they are posting from in case people don't wonder why they didn't type as epic of a response as some other posts...... It would be nice if we got a "posted from mobile app" icon, added line, or whatever so people know why you type differently then your other posts. It's hard typing long epic posts on a phone, and when you normally do and suddenly you type short and sweet others might think you're being lazy or on a phone... the mobile indicator would be a good feature. Raa
<snip> the mobile indicator would be a good feature. That would be handy actually... That way I can forgive people if they make typos - especially autocorrect typos! remixedcat 1 Share
Denis W. Veteran Posted September 20, 2012 Veteran Share Posted September 20, 2012 Let's not single out community members in this manner. I'm sure the OP now understands what GS:mac stands for. [Thread closed] remixedcat and TCA 2 Share
