Nope you only need to be using a DNS server that is registered in the US to get the American version of Netflix, they know about it and could change the authentication method but they know that if they did a lot of non-US subscribers would ditch the service so while it's still frowned upon they don't do anything about it. On topic: I'm not really sure how to set up browsers to use a different DNS depending on the browser, as far as I'm aware the DNS server is set within Windows/whatever browser you are using.
