LOL thats quite funny.

The only "red light distrcit" I know of, is a name given to a part of a city where there are brothels and other sex industry related premises, their windows emit a red glow from the decor and red light illuminated in the window to state shes open for business :p

Dam you

Find this red light district?

Haha, I think it's a decent joke. Two, in fact. Very clever, Bing.

For the slow, that's a picture of a dam. But it's a picture with a long exposure time, so the red taillights of the car driving across the bridge are smeared across the top of the dam.

The shortcut on their page leads to the map below. As to the reference its eluding to the red lights of the vehicle and Im assuming the writer missed the double entendre completely.

I had heard that it predates any type of sign that was used but originated in early railroad days. Railroad workmen carried lit red lanterns and left them outside the brothels they were patronizing. That evolved into prostitues using a red lamp to advertise discreetly.
