Ariunit5
Background: I live in phoenix Arizona and subscribe to the digital TV services from COX Communications. In order to get all of my HD channels I have to rent a unit from them for about ten dollars a month that interprets the signal and gives me a channel guide etc. So what I am wondering is if there is a way to get this on my other TVs without renting another couple COX units for ten more dollars a month. I can live without the channel guide, but I really want to get my HD channels on the other TVs. Without the unit they just get basic cable and a couple channels that broadcast in HD in that range. I dont want just a couple I want them all like on my main TV with the unit. So what I am asking is if there is a unit I can buy myself from someplace that will do the same thing. This way I wont have to rent a unit from my Cable Provider. I saw this device (linked below) in an electronics cataloge, is this something that I would be looking for? I really dont know much about digital cable. This model is very expensive though, if this is the kind of thing that I need, I am looking for something a little more cost effective. Any help is appreciated. Shadier
If the device's output is with a coax cable, then you may be able to use a splitter and send it off to your other TVs. I am not entirely sure if that would work, but it is a possibility.

+jamesyfx Subscriber² Posted October 14, 2012 Subscriber² Share Posted October 14, 2012 Your best option would be to use a HDMI Splitter with cables going to each TV. The only downside is that you'll only be able to watch the exact same thing on all of your TV's. As for the RF Modulator, the picture quality won't be HD no matter what you get.
