Galley
I got an e-mail saying that it was ready for download. The interface is a lot like PressPlay, only worse! If you click on an artist name in the damned file tree, you may only get one or two songs listed from a particular album. If you click on the album link, then you will see all of the songs. It often takes 10 seconds for the file tree to populate. Some songs have blue text, and some have black text. What's the difference? Beats the hell out of me! I double-clicked several songs to stream a 30-second preview of them, but often got errors saying that it couldn't connect. The interface is completely confusing. The only cool feature that I could see is that it has a toolbar mode like RealOne Player Plus. Streaming is limited to 96Kbps. I can choose five tracks for free for pre-registering, but don't know if I will even bother, since it uses the Roxio burn engine. (PressPlay's burning was garbage). Nothing comes close to Rhapsody, IMHO. If they can get a prescription-free version out, they will own the market (even if they have to raise the price for prescription-free tracks to 99 cents).
