deck
Well, I know that GC discs use a proprietary technology that nobody else uses. There size is also a big factor... I haven't seen any half sized DVD type discs out there. ~D

nickdangelo71
Dont gamecube discs use a file system like GD-ROM (game disc-ROM) So not many burners support this file system or something?

AgEnTsMiTh
It has been hacked. But you can't burn disc to disc. What they are doing is using a Ethernet Attachment on the gamecube, you run a link via network cable, launch the image file via your computer, and it runs through to the game cube, and you can play on your TV. All using PSO connection.
Tim Dorr Veteran Posted October 28, 2003 Veteran Share Posted October 28, 2003 Yeah, you can play downloaded games over a network with Phantasy Star Online. There's a tool you load on your PC that "hacks in" to the game and lets you boot up your own game or whatnot. It's hilarious to me because you don't have to mod chip the thing or even burn a disc. :D

kryptonik
Gamecube is the ultimate. The only reason the Gamecube is probably not making more money than other systems is because you can't burn discs to play on the Gamecube. You have to buy them. Sure it's possible, but it's just too much trouble.
