Installing Windows 8 on Netbook (Intel Atom n270 1.6Ghz)

Currently Windows 7 Home is installed on Zoostorm Freedom 10-270 Netbook. Currently it take take ages to load any applications on Windows 7.

Spec:

- Intel Atom n270 1.6Ghz Processor

- 1GB DDR2 533Mhz Memory

What the performance will make any difference if I install Windows 8 Pro?

I would imagin Windows 8 would perform quite awsome on that. But Windows 7 should too.

I had a netbook with an Intel Atom processor and Windows 7 Ultimate with everything enabled and it absolutely flew.

I found programs launched super fast on it, with same specs as you listed too.

Minimum RAM memory required for running 32 bit version of Windows 8 is 1 GB and 2GB for the 64 bit variant.

Upgrade RAM for better performance!

Your screen resolution (1024x600 based on the website) does not meet the minimum requirements for Metro apps. If you don't mind not using those, then just upgrade your RAM.
