Marshall Veteran Posted November 2, 2012 Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2012 I don't see anything in the change log about detection rate improvements. That's the problem I had when I had it installed for just under a week. I intentionally visit a lot of dodgy sites, and have never been infected using Nod32. During that time that I tried out Webroot I was infected multiple times with trojans and malware. Needless to say, I went back to Nod32. This is just my experience with Webroot. Greg Davis Posted November 19, 2012 Share Posted November 19, 2012 The reason why Webroot SecureAnywhere may score lower in some tests is because Webroot?s solutions work differently than traditional security solutions by focusing on the behavior of files that try to execute on a system regardless of whether or not we have seen that file previously and have a signature for it. Any unknown file is monitored and its behavior journaled as it tries to execute. Please see the following post on the Webroot Community.
