Play PS2 games on your PC

Recommended Posts

I had a PS2 console but it seems now not to play my PS2 games. I am not sure what is going on  but, I was wondering is there a mod or a emu that can let you play PS2 games on your PC. I have a DVD burner and a CD/DVD Rom in my PC. I don't really want to buy another PS2 because I am low on the funds. Also all my games I use to play are from North America. They are not imports.

No. Any PS2 emulators out there are completely unfinished and only run demos, not commercial games.

Check back in 2-3 years if you want even semi-stable emulators... Even then, it might not work.

gah that will be forever, but you are right - look right now, the only ones that really run good are for nes/snes/gennesis/ and other consoles from years back

He means do what... I would do :)

Go to walmart, buy a new PS2. Put the broken PS2 in the box, and return it. Actually, I prefer to use BestBuy for that, but yeah. Just ask a friend to spot you $200 for the afternoon.

Is it a laser problem. I heard from the salesman at Gamespot that laser problems on the early versions of the PS2 are known defects and replaceable (fixable) direct from Sony. Call them, couldnt hurt. I'd give you the number but I dont have it.

yeah, liquid is right.

most places are smarter than to just trust the customers and accept anything for return.

at least most computer stores double check to see if the product serial numbers match on the product and the receipt. esp since most of the merchandise is worth a pretty penny.

be careful when you try to pull something like that.

our wal-mart doesn't do that...

last year, when i had my comp (that didn't have agp graphics), i bought an ati 7000 pci. it ended up not working with my mobo, and so we had to return it. in less than 10 seconds, they tossed the box in a cart, and gave us the money. they didn't even check to see if the piece was still in there, even though the seal was broken.

I don't think they would check,

Most people who work at wallmart are kids from highschool who don't give a Rat's Hide about the serial and autehnticity,

Think about it, if you worked at wallmart, would you take the effort to check? and if you did find out would you even mention it? Wallmart has a huge inventory of ps2 that they will NEVER sell them all off.... might as get one.

Anyways, If they did find you what are they gonna do? Sue you? No probably not, they would just say don't pull this shiezer again...

Worht a shot for $200 if you ask me...

I knew a guy that would steal t.v.s from wal-mart. All you have to do is buy one a t.v., then after awhile get the same t.v. and just walk out...If it beeps, then just show them the reciept from you other t.v. Just cover up the date. ;)

Uh, I wonder if WalMart people are really that dumb...
