Agreed, they definitely need to enforce this on radio as well. It's annoying to say the least.

IMHO it should be completely illegal to use the sounds of horns and sirens in radio ads. It's absolutely obnoxious and at times I find myself being distracted looking for the source.

I love my DVR so I can FF through the commercials. I'll even let a show get a head start just so I can skip them or I'll just flip to the previous channel, though that doesn't always work. I rarely watch "live tv" anymore. When looking for a new TV I look for ones with the Auto-Volume level feature.
