File - New - Adobe Photoshop Image...

Recommended Posts

I've limited my File - New menu to just "New compressed folder" and "New text document". I got rid of "Adobe Photoshop Image" but every time I start and close Photoshop its back. Is there any way to stop this??

Cheers.

I do that but everytime I open and close photoshop, its back. There is a .reg file in the Photoshop Dir. I deleted that and it didn't make a difference. Also I dont think I can change the icon for .psd file, Adobe is very pushy...

it would prob. be under hkey/classes/root under the .*** extention that adobe uses.. not sure what they're saved as. just look for that key. you can try to rename the folder shellnew to shellnewold.. that might work. (this folder is a sub-dir of the .*** folder)

Its worked, I just denied all permissions on that key. I've also changed the Icons for psd file in case people were having problems with that. Its kept in a dll under Program filesCommonAdobePhotoshop6Shell
