Swift-R
My TeapSpeak 3 is constantly dropping connection, it's happening 5 or 10 in 10 minutes, some times 30 in 30 minutes. This has been happening for the last four months. The last month it didn't happen much but now, since the last two days, I can't even stand being on TeamSpeak, it's, some times, dropping like every minute or less. It drops from TeamSpeak and then immediately joins back to the server. Some times leaving the old 'me' in and joining with a 1 after my nickname and then the old one drops. There are a few seconds before it announces the connection was lost that no one can listen to what I say. This happens in more than one server (strangely not at the same time) and only to me. I can't notice network problems anywhere else, even in online games. The log is something like this: <00:47:01> Connection to server lost<00:47:02> Trying to resolve hostname ts.xxxxxxxxxx.net <00:47:03> Trying to connect to server on ts.xxxxxxxxxx.net:9990 <00:47:03> Connected to Server: XXXXXXXXX.net | SCWTIRFLT After half an hour there are a thousand lines like this in the log. Before calling my ISP, I want to make sure it's not my problem and it's a problem with their connection. I didn't call the ISP already because all they'll do is say the line is perfect and make me pay a phone call (not cheap) so their tech team check my router config, etc... Anyway, if you can help me find a solution, would be great! For a start, how can I monitor my network, to see if it really is the problem? Sorry for the long post, I'm trying to be as specific as possible.
sc302 Veteran Posted December 26, 2012 Veteran Share Posted December 26, 2012 Do a basic ping test. See if you drop off at the same time do a ping test to your ISP DNS servers and google and see if they drop. If everything drops at the same interval then it is most definitely your ISP if it does not it is something else and may need some config changes.
