techno
Hi all, I would LOVE to know how to customise explorer so that when you open it, it does not open with the "my docs" folder highlighted and expanded. Id like it to open on "my computer" so that I can instantly see my hard drives on the right side of the explorer window. Can anyone help me with this as it is driving me nuts!!? I have tried hiding "my docs" with tweak and re-ordering the position of "my docs" so it appears after "my computer", but I cannot stop my docs from opening expanded. Please help!!! kagaku
All my explorer shortcuts use: %SystemRoot%explorer.exe /n,/e,C:
svmpatel
I never launch Explorer from a shortcut, instead I use the Windows Key + E combination and this always opens Explorer in My Computer not My docs. Hope this helps

Olog-hai
You can also use the Tweakui powertoy to do this, there is an order option to sort which comes first "my computer" or "my documents"
MrObvious2U
in the target shortcut, change "explorer.exe" to "explorer.scf", w/o the quotes

Tweaker
Try this: Open Windows Explorer and drag the Explorer icon that looks like a folder w/a magnifying glass on it to the Taskbar. Shazam! Now when you click on the Explorer icon in the taskbar it automatically open to your C: Pretty easy!
