The fact that the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is taking some huge liberties with how the characters have been portrayed in past comic books, movies and TV shows has upset a lot of fans, but work is moving ahead on the project regardless. It's safe to assume that Michael Bay (Transformers) and Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) more than likely haven't reverted back to the original title, but Production Weekly ARE usually extremely reliable when it comes to reports on when and where shoots such as this one will take place. With a release date set for May 16th, 2014, expect some solid casting news on this one very soon.

I'm not too crazy with them messing with the Turtles. But I'd be very surprised if it wasn't a hit because Bay knows how to make hit movies.

While changes can be bad, it'll all be for the better for the swords are actually used as fricken swords and not clubs.

Just so long as shredder looks cool. Let's be honest Shredder was the only reason alot of people watched Turtles.

Shredder's intro in the original live action is incredible.

Michael Bay movies are junk. Plain and Simple

Such an astute observation, you really must be such a well-regarded movie buff. What's "plain and simple" is that MB movies serve their specific purpose and serve it well. They make a LOT of money and for every arty, lauded, worthy, indie, thoughtful drama - there should be a thank you to the likes of Bay for providing the industry the funds it needs to make such films. Without the likes of Bay, the industry would make a lot less cash, and films I like such as "Clerks" would never have seen the distribution deal and cinema release that they did.
