My drives were partitioned into 2 sections C and D i made another section G i need to formatt my D and C and install windows xp again on C and then move all my data from G the new partition i made to D how should i formatt my D drive my c will auto formatt while i am installing xp but what about my D drive how can i formatt it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm not sure but during setup (If you boot from the cd and reach the stage with choosing a partition) you can try to delete both the C and D partions and then use the unpartitioned space to install XP. After that I think you'd be able to transfer info back from the G partition to what will be your C partition, I think. You said you'd like to just format D along with C and move all the info from G back to D, but I don't really know how to do that.
