AMD Catalyst 13.1 (9.012.0 December 19) AMD Official WHQL

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the heads up!

Any new CAPS to go with these too?

Not that I know of yet unless there are any new ones in the drivers themselves

12.11 CAP2 still on AMDs site

Change log with the direct link or no direct link. It's polite if anything

Changelog always goes live later than the drivers

Lol, the HDMI audio driver (for Windows 8 at least) has the 32-bit version in the 64-bit package and the 64-bit version in the 32-bit package. ><

Hmm. I'm getting an error installing the HDMI audio driver with these. Tried installing over old drivers aswell as a clean install after removing the old drivers.

EDIT

Lol, the HDMI audio driver (for Windows 8 at least) has the 32-bit version in the 64-bit package and the 64-bit version in the 32-bit package. ><

That'll be why then.

Couldn't we extract the drivers from the 32bit version (and vice-versa) and replace them in the folder then install?

If you turn off driver signing, yes. Only the certificate from the 32-bit version is there in both packages. Quite sloppy by AMD if you ask me.

That's hilarious. hahaha. I'd ask how that gets by testing in the first place, but that would imply they still have a testing department. :D

nice find

do you recommend me using the mobility version for my laptop?

AMD A8 w/ HD 6620 G processor

That is an APU right?

Haven't had any experience with them. Check out http://forum.notebookreview.com/ for suggestions on your driver. I would go ahead and try but I am honestly not familiar with your config.

Also what is the HydraVision package guys?! I have skipped 6 months of releases.

Yes, they generally have added tweaks for display brightness when on battery and such.

Yes. Apparently they house both the quadcores and GPU in the whole package. quite honestly, I like it. I'm sure there would be horrible bottleneck issues had the GPU been a separate graphic card itself. only downside issue would be the inability to change out GPU's like in the older days of my desktop

Doesn't look like there should be any issues of installing it. The only thing I can think of is the Laptop OEM drivers that might be adjusted better towards your config like Deranged mentioned.

Personally I have to deal with a whole other ball game. Intel HD + AMD drivers need to be in the same package and if the OEM doesn't update the driver for at least a new iteration of windows then you are stuck with having to hack together drivers through different methods.

I think the x64 HDMI audio driver issue only happens on Win8. I installed the Win7 one fine in win8. But...how the hell did that get past testing :p

Same, flawless installation for me running 7

I guess AMD do have some sense and don't run Win 8 :p

Yeah, I got the HDMI Audio Driver error on Windows 8 x64. I don't use HDMI audio anyway so not much of a big deal for me personally, but how that managed to get into the final version is beyond me :/

Not that many improvements it doesn't look like for my 6870, mainly fixes. There's been a bit of micro-stuttering with FIFA 13 but everything else seems just as before.
