Not to sound like a grammar nazi, but ...

Read, grammar nazi, though this was going to be about the fact that users have forgotten the simple rules of written english, using phrases like 'could of', instead of could have or could've, but alas, seeing as it wasn't about this, I couldn't care less. :p

Hey, y'all.

As the subject said, I don't mean to sound like a grammar Nazi, but ...

The phrase "couldn't care less" when implying that one particular person or company aren't possible of caring just irks me.

I mean, think about it for a second. "Couldn't care less" means that they do care. "Could care less" means they are possible or probable of not caring.

It's like saying "that guy couldn't be any nicer" when implying that he's mean. "Couldn't be any nicer" means that the guy is SO nice it's unbelievable. "Could be nicer," now THAT implies he's mean.

Any thoughts on that?

Watch the video warwagon embedded. It explains perfectly well why 'couldn't care less' is the only correct way of using the expression.
