guarana0324
Whenever I'm switching back and forth between user accounts and I finally log off, a lot of times (75 %) I'll get a message that DEVLDR32 has stop responding. I just close it and everything logs off as normal, but I just wanted to see if any of you experienced this. It only happens when I'm using multiple user accounts... if I only use one, I never get the message when shutting down or logging off... If anyone else has had this happen, let me know. Thanks :). yashiro
The default XP drivers create ONE instance of devldr32 when the first user (user1) logs on. If you then fast switch to another account devldr32 does not terminate and stays running under the user1 thread. (no shutdown probs) With the Creative labs drivers a new instance of devldr32 is spawned for each user that logs on. Theses run in the current users thread.(orphaned devldr32 process hangs on shutdown) The problem is that Creative HAVE NOT tested for XP compatibilty correctly. They have not programmed with respect to the new fast switch option.
